Digital photo relic meme
I picked this one up from Mena Trott, and figured I'd go with it. I just got this particular computer a few months ago, but I do have a photo from 2001 on it. Brace yourselves.
This is me and my little brother, John, five years ago. You could say that I've lost a bit of weight since then. Not so long ago, the only people who had seen this photo were Nancy Rommelmann and Hillary Johnson, I think. I'm still horrified that I ever looked like that, but I'm more horrified at the thought of forgetting about it and not continuing to drop the pounds. (I also remember that this was taken at a Mexican restaurant in Columbus, that I wasn't really hungry, but I ordered a huge meal "just to be polite". I think I gained IQ points with every pound lost...)

That was one of the Questions of the Day you get on the Vox homepage. It's a nice little "meme across the whole Vox userbase" idea.
Ah, I see. I thought Mena was making them up herself, as she doesn't link to her source (surprising from such an early blogger!). I love prompts, so expect me to participate in a lot of these...Thanks, Adam!
Well, each QotD post is sort of linked, through the QotD tag, and an individual set of tags applied by each question when you respond to it.
Thanks, Adam - I guess I haven't been paying very close attention. That said, if this is supposed to be the super-easy "My grandpa is blogging now!" solution, maybe linking via tags isn't the way to go. (I find tagging a huge PITA as it now stands, and a waste of time.) I hope to figure out how to add a blogroll soon, too.
